It has now been six weeks that we have been isolated due to the Pandemic. There was some good news last week about us "Opening up America". We will try to restore normal commerce and services, but we will now be taking a phase approach. We will be slowly going into a new normal. Things will not be the same. It is important that we learn to adjust our businesses to the new normal and make room for innovations of other business opportunities.
There are many examples of Small Businesses having to change the way they do business to adjust with the Pandemic. For instance, our longtime friends, The Mingrino Family from Limoncello Ristorante came up with a whole new menu for COVID-19. They are offering an A La Carte Menu, Family Dinners, Gift Card Sales, and a Wine and Beer Menu. They have reduced prices and are offering free delivery. It may be some time that Limoncello will be able to be back in their restaurants serving customers, but this is an example of how you adjust to the new norm. Your customers and clients will remember you after this is all over and you will come out stronger.
I also wanted to share with you what Stella & Dot is doing by giving back to their community. My friend, Linda McElvenny from the Women's Business Connections shared with me how Stella & Dot Family of Brands is offering an Ever Care Pouch for only $24 ($80 value). I wanted to share with you what a friend of mine from the Women's Business Network has done. She started another new business that ties into the passion she already has with fitness and wellness. Sue Fetterman, is owner at GloBody by Sue, Sue Fetterman Lifestyle Coaching and a Figure Competitor. Sue decided that now was the perfect time to enter another business. A Network Marketing Organization that focuses on providing active wear, fashion industry, and beauty and wellness all in one. She knew that now was the time to be able to have the opportunity to make people feel good. She is a single mom and needed to think outside of the box to be able to provide for her family. She has been very successful just in the past month that she has started and feels that she is giving back to the community by giving women a way to feel confident, comfortable and fashionable at the same time while working from home.
What is your passion? I have learned more and more that I love to write, cook, bake and garden. I am using those passions to get through this difficult time and you never know one of them may end up being a new Business Venture. You just need to try.
